The website provides information about the YNYCC Support from Assured Professionals Programme (the Programme) which is a support programme aimed at assisting small and medium sized businesses in the areas of upland and coastal North Yorkshire to assess their requirements in respect of legislation which may affect them.
We regard the privacy of users of this website as very important. We have created this Privacy Policy to explain to you what information we may collect from you and the purposes for which such information may be used.
YNYCC is a non-profit private business organization serving the needs of businesses throughout the City of York and North Yorkshire. 1. INFORMATION COLLECTED
We collect information from visitors to this website through the use of on-line forms and whenever you email us. The information we collect includes contact details of firms and individuals who register as users of this website (such as name, address and/or e-mail address) and of those who make on-line bookings to attend events run as part of the Programme.

We process personal information collected via this website to take and administer bookings for events run as part of the Programme, to deal with enquiries and requests and to provide registered users with information about the Programme, including newsletters. We do not retain information about non-registered users who use our on-line events booking facility except insofar and as long as is necessary to administer any such booking made by them.

The information from our member database is made available to other members of YNYCC for use by them for marketing and other purposes related to their businesses, for the purpose of identifying potential trading partners and for matters which may be of relevance to other YNYCC members. It is possible that YNYCC members may be contacted by other members of YNYCC and other recipients of such database information.

The database of registered users of this website may also be supplied to providers of professional services identified by YNYCC for the purposes of the Programme.
3.3 Non-registered users of this Website
We do not make available information to third parties about any non-registered users of this website except as may be necessary in relation to a booking made by them in respect of an event run as part of the Programme.

To obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you please write to Annie Christie, Policy & Operations Manager at YNYCC, Arabesque House, Monks Cross Drive, Huntington, York YO32 9WU together with a cheque or postal order payable to YNYCC for £10 to cover our administration costs. As soon as we are satisfied as to your identity we will send you, within 40 days of receipt of your written request and the fee, a copy of all the personal information we hold about you which we are legally required to disclose. Please contact the Policy & Operations Manager - Annie Christie at the same address if you have any reason to believe the data we hold on you is inaccurate.

In accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 we keep secure records which contain personal information about individuals. Although we employ appropriate encryption techniques for transmission of personal information, the Internet is global and no data transmitted via the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure during transmission. Therefore, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us before we receive it. Please note that in accordance with our security procedures we may also request proof of your identity before disclosing certain information to you.
